We drove from Jenks up to Pittsburg, KS planning to stay there in their little RV campground but it was full so we drove on and the first campground we found was the Springfield KOA so that is where we will begin our ride.

Day 53:  Friday, September 2, 2005   So, we are parked at the KOA near Willard and will drive the RV with the bike on the bike rack - over to Marshfield today and ride back to load the bike on the Honda Element and go back to Marshfield to spend the night.  I will try to upload photos etc tonight.  Click here

Day 54:  Tuesday, Sepbember 6, 2005  While spending 3 days in Columbia, MO visiting with my son and his family, we spent a lot of time reviewing all the resources we could gather trying to locate RV campgrounds along the TransAmerica route and there were practically none!  Flexibility is wonderful!  And to us it means being able to either make the things we do easy and enjoyable or just not doing them!   So, we have decided to let the rest of the XC ride go until another time and perhaps use a different route.  We will be leaving Columbia today and driving over into Kansas to spend a couple of days doing some genealogical stuff - walking some cemeteries and checking some court records for Morris ancestor information.  Thanks for tuning in!!!
