Back to Wyoming
Day 27: Saturday, July 23, 2005 From Grant Village to Flagg Ranch it was only 23.6 miles with a little over 681 feet of climb so, knowing that we slept in late and had a good breakfast.

We had dinner last night and breakfast this morning at this Grant Village Restaurant
As we were leaving the lodge after breakfast we met up with Paul and Anamika from Holland. Jeff and AK had talked about them and told us of their problem with their tandem, a Dutch made tandem – the frame broke and they had to buy a different tandem so now they are riding a Burley.

It is a bad photo of Anamika and Paul but since I only took one shot it will have to do.
They have quite a load!

Another shot of our lodgings as we get ready to leave

Leaving Grant Village – we go left

and ride down roads mostly like this for most of the way to Flagg Ranch

We had a couple of easy climbs

and saw lots of bare trees and new growth from the 1988 fires

lots of it

and then came to Lewis Lake

Lewis River Rapids

the Lewis River

That guy was way out there getting some spectacular photos of the Lewis River but it looked dangerous

Coming up to the Yellowstone Park exit

Leaving Yellowstone National Park

This Parkway has the best shoulders we have seen in 1200 miles

Short day be we are happy to have the end in sight

We arrived early so had time for lunch before checking into our cabin

view from our patio

Pretty nice room
It is nice to be early when we have such a great place to enjoy. The one downhill run we had was not too steep and we only got up to 40 and only need to brake a couple of times. Sure do miss that drum brake though.
