ARTIST HOSPITALITY

The visiting artists begin arriving in Tulsa about one month prior to each opera production. Guild members have an opportunity to join the Artist Hospitality Committee, which offers several opportunities for personal contacts with the artists.

Members of the AH committee can pick up a visiting artist at the airport, assist them in getting to their hotel and offer to be their host while they are in Tulsa, to be available to them for any assistance as needed (assistance is seldom needed).

The Artists/Staff Luncheon welcomes the artists and introduces the Tulsa Opera staff and Guild Members. It is held at Baden Hall, Tulsa Opera, on Friday the week of the artists arrival. The AH committee members prepare food for the luncheon and, of course, attend and socialize.

The Artists Notes Dinner is held after the first dress rehearsal (about 10:30pm) at Baden Hall. Once again, the AH committee prepares food and brings wine and beverages to share with the artists and staff and intermingles with them.

Committee members that bring food and/or beverages to the luncheon and dinner are allowed two guest passes to the Invited Dress Rehearsal on the following Thursday, preceding the Saturday opening night.
