July 10th through 15th
We have no family with us until the 16th so probably will not be many photos
We rode today (the 11th)
I took photos of the Blue River -
We had so much rain over the weekend

We rode our singles on Swan Mountain Road over to Keystone so I got a photo of Dennis on the way up

July 9th
Another rainy day but we spent it reviewing the photos and here we are just before leaving for the Denver Airport Dirk and Nia were with us at the condo from July 1st to July 9th and it was a wonderful visit.

Just dropping them off at the airport. They had a rough flight back to Tampa but got home safe!

July 8th
This was the day we were going to spend at the Fun Park at Peak 8 -- wouldn't you know it was our first wet morning all week and it only stopped raining for short periods all day long.
We tried though and here we are at the top of the lift where we hiked around a bit

took some photos

and then rode the lift back down - it was cold and wet but fun

and we had some interesting views of Breckenridge

We finally gave up and climbed back to the condo for lunch

Finally around 4 p.m. it cleared up enough for a short hike

The Peak trail head was near our condo and it goes all the way to Frisco
but we only hiked a short distance when it began raining again.

It would have been a pretty hike but we headed back to the condo.
July 7th
We rented a tandem for Dirk and Nia so we could ride the Dillon to Keystone bike tril

This is a view from just South of Dillon
Heading back to Keystone

July 6th
A second day of riding out near Fairplay Colorado

Dirk and Black Magic

Nia and Texas
July 5th
Canoeing on Dillon Reservoir - Dirk and Nia in one canoe

and Dennis and Lyndsey in another

We decided to only go out for 2 hours because of the ominous clouds!

Then you look in another direction and everything is different

and yet another direction - Wow!

Canadian Geese on one of the islands

Dirk and Nia are down by the shore where they saw a deer

and they got some great close-up photos

July 4th
All saddled up and ready to ride - hoping for a "free range" ride with no guide as advertised -- but they did have a guide and that was good but it was not a"nose to tail" ride and they were able to work the horses into a trot, canter and gallop and really had a good time. The ride was 3 hours long and they went all the way to the top of the mountain and back.
I took some of the photos and the others were taken by the guide with our little sony camera so the beautiful ones from the top of the mountain were taken by the guide.

Here they were just coming back about a mile from the stables. I had walked up the road so I counld get some photos of their return

They were walking the horses so I was able to keep up and walk the road back to the stables with them

On the way home

Just of her horse "Trexas" after a really great 3 hour ride

A great BarBQ pork and slaw lunch after the ride

aJAfter returning from the ride and my walk this felt really good!

July 3rd
We had spent the morning down in Breckenridge Village and had just gotten back to our car when the sky opened up with heavy rain that turned to heavy hail!

You can see the hail piling along the street

The sound of the hail on the car was VERY loud - Nia's first hailstorm experience

Enjoying lunch at Bubba Gumps

Trying on some fun hats - Dirk and Nia

Kevin and Susan Myers with Dirk and Nia in the hot tub after our 7 mile hike from Tiger Run to Frisco on Sunday July 2nd
Lyndsey with nieces Susan and Ruth Hedin and Susan's husband Kevin

Dirk and Nia at airport arrival on July 1

Ruth was picking up her daughter Sadie same time same day same airline - Frontier
Quite a neat coincidence and so neat that we got to see them all and they got to see Dirk and meet Nia

On the drive back up to Breckenridge from Denver Nia saw her first herd of Buffalo

Dennis playing Barrell Racing with Nia trying to help!!!
